In November 2024, BKW presented its “Solutions 2030” strategy. It consistently aligns the company with the needs of the new energy world for customers, investors, employees and society.

«Solutions 2030» provides answers to three key megatrends: Transformation of the energy system: Electrification of transport, heating and industry, decarbonisation of generation, decentralisation through prosumers and digitalisation through intelligent control.Increasing energy and resource efficiency: Growing demand for climate-compatible construction, energy-efficient refurbishment and resource-efficient industrial solutions.Changing stakeholder needs: Customers are becoming prosumers, investors are focusing on transparency, and employees are looking for meaningful work.

Growth, excellence and sustainability

These three core elements determine how BKW will shape its course through to 2030.

• GrowthBKW will invest around CHF 4 billion by 2030. All of this will be fully financed from its own operating cash flow. The target is an EBIT of CHF 1 billion. Profitability takes priority over revenue growth.
• ExcellenceBKW consistently aligns all activities with customer needs and operates active portfolio and risk management.
• SustainabilityBKW sets ambitious sustainability targets in the areas of climate, energy, nature, people and governance.
