What to expect during your trial apprenticeship

You’ll get a first impression of the apprenticeship, the team and the working environment. Depending on the profession, you’ll accompany apprentices or vocational trainers, observe typical tasks and may be able to try out simple activities yourself. This way, you’ll find out whether the profession, the industry and BKW are right for you.

Your job shadowing day

This is how you get to know the profession

A job shadowing day is about gaining a real impression of everyday working life. You don’t have to be able to do everything yet – what matters are curiosity, interest and your questions.

Before your work experience day, think about what you would like to know about the profession and the training programme. Write down your questions and be open to new impressions. This will help you make the most of your taster day and decide afterwards whether the profession is right for you.
