Sustainability Report 2025
Sustainability is a shared aspiration within the company. In 2025, BKW worked with the Group functions and business areas to further develop the implementation of sustainability measures in a targeted manner.
Roger Baillod explains why sustainability must be embedded throughout the entire company.
Sustainability Report 2025
In 2025, BKW was able to make significant progress in implementing its sustainability goals and establish important foundations. Greenhouse gas intensity fell by 24 per cent compared with the base year 2022, and the electrification of the vehicle fleet was advanced. In addition, BKW revised the Supplier Code of Conduct, which defines binding minimum requirements for responsible cooperation along the supply chains. With the development of Group-wide guidelines for occupational safety and health protection and the new HR strategy, BKW further developed its organisation in key areas. The HR strategy is intended to ensure in future that employees can be retained and the right talent attracted in order to actively help shape the energy transition.
